A Valencia mom who has been battling California government for the right to die finally celebrated a victory on Tuesday when a bill passed through the Assembly Public Health Committee.

A Newhall man who allegedly murdered his 19-day-old daughter pleaded no contest at his hearing on Wednesday.

Dr. Catherine Kawaguchi is new to the Sulphur Springs School District and has already made a splash in the district.

Local residents are being encouraged to give feedback about ways to reduce the risk of local hazards to the city of Santa Clarita.
