“To me, the fine is a TANGIBLE penalty meted out aanigst lesbianism.”wrong, buddy. the fine is a penalty for breaching tv advertising guidelines. if 2 girls who were kissing in real life were fined, then yeah, that would be an actual penalty aanigst lesbianism (but bear in mind that kissing by itself may not constitute a lesbian/homosexual act). to help you understand the difference, consider that it’s possible for a broadcaster to be fined for airing a programme where (certain) profanities are spoken, but there are no fines that will be imposed by any statutory body aanigst people spouting profanities in real life. understand, solo bear?meh… you’re just posting inflammatory comments with the sole purpose of trying to pick a fight with gays. and as usual your pseudo-logical arguments which bear no merits have failed to disguise your twisted prejudices. methinks your blog should be renamed “where bears troll free” instead. at least then you wouldn’t get so much stick.p.s. i can tell u without a shadow of a doubt that the act of girls kissing – in public or otherwise – has never been, and will never be met with a fine in singapore. at most, another member of the public can press civil charges aanigst the ‘offenders’ for (most likely) outrage of modesty, but such a case will probably get thrown out by the civil courts.p.p.s. hey j – hope your blog’s fixed soon.
