A motorcycle officer was taken to a local hospital after being struck by a car in a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 5 early Wednesday.

The crash happened near Hasley Canyon around 9:30 a.m. and caused the shut down of the No. 4 lane until about 10:45 a.m., according to CHP traffic reports.

Information regarding the officer’s condition is still unknown at this time
