September 29, 2016: Hate Crimes Report Shows Increase; Halloween Spirit at a Local Farm; More

The Los Angeles County Commission on Human Relations released the 2015 Hate Crimes Report, and it showed that hate crimes in L.A. County had a 24 percent increase this past year.

Castaic Animal Shelter took in 10 dogs out of the over 73 animals that were seized from a hoarding situation in the Antelope Valley.

Gilchrist Farm is looking to help SCV residents get into the spirit of Halloween and the Fall season with their upcoming Harvest Festival.

LASD Park Bureau boat deputies were given valuable training in aiding injured boaters, or handling medical emergencies during a training exercise at Castaic Lake on Wednesday.

Among the Olympians and Paralympians gathered at the White House on Thursday, two connected to SCV were mentioned by the President as he welcomed the athletes to the White House.
