A five-acre brush fire is burning in the Plum Canyon area, and firefighters are on the scene.

Santa Clarita deputies received a report Thursday night of a sexual assault that occurred on the College of the Canyons campus Wednesday morning.

On Wednesday, SCV Sheriff’s Traffic and Crime Prevention Unit deputies conducted another pedestrian safety operation.

Nearly 50 years after Santana burst onto the music scene, the Latin-rock band’s infectious grooves will be brought to life when Savor performs its tribute at the city of Santa Clarita’s Concerts in the Park at Central Park on Saturday, August 5, starting at 7 p.m.

Fire is 100% contained, according to officials.
