April 11: Earth Arbor Day Festival at Central Park

The City of Santa Clarita, in partnership with the SCV Family of Water Suppliers, invites residents to explore the benefits and fun of going green at the annual Earth Arbor Day Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, at Central Park.

The City’s FREE Earth Arbor Day Festival will include a variety of activities designed to get community members excited about eco-friendly living, including tree plantings, educational presentations by local organizations, healthy food for sale, recycled art exhibits, live music and much more.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore six interactive zones highlighting the importance of protecting the environment, including Alternative Transportation, Community Organizations, Tree Zone, Energy Zone, Eco Zone and Water Conservation Zone.
Several volunteer opportunities are available for the festival, including planting and tagging trees, assisting with activity booths and helping to distribute mulch.  Interested participants can register to volunteer at SantaClaritaVolunteers.com.
