The Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce’s November luncheon featured a panel of five distinguished business experts who shared their wisdom on topics ranging from labor law to OSHA compliance and real estate leasing.
The luncheon featured Brian Koegle, Damian Jones, Dana Heimdahl Chernault, Bob Khalsa and Scott Jette.
Koegle, a partner with the law firm of Poole & Shaffery, focuses on labor and employment law. Koegle counsels employers in a variety of industries on hiring practices, employment contracts, wage and hour issues, compensation, discipline and termination matters. He discusses "Employment Law Changes in 2012."
Jones, managing partner with Pacific Strategy Group, brings 20 years of government relations experience to his topic, "Looking forward 2012; The Business Climate in Santa Clarita."
Heimdahl Chernault, an affiliate of Smart Business Evolution, is a onetime Army aviator, mom and board-certified safety professional who provides companies with OSHA compliance business solutions. Her topic is "The Value of a Safety and Health Management System: Developing a Profitable, Realistic 4-point Strategy for Handling Occupational Safety and Health in Small to Medium Sized Businesses."
Khalsa is a real estate broker and Certified Commercial Investment Member who owns an independent office that deals with investment properties, business opportunities and property management. He brings clarity to "Understanding and Negotiating or Re-negotiating your Commercial Lease."
Jette is a writer and consultant with Credo Consulting. A former Marine Corps sergeant, he climbed the corporate ladder while preparing for a life in the ministry. His unique background will help you in "Adjusting to the Ever Changing Business Climates."
