As we wrap up our year, we look back at 2012 as a year of firsts for the SCSF:
We have our first offices / and rehearsal space (Thank you Dr. B. Grewal, Valencia Veterinary Center, and Kevin Leggit).
Because we had use of an office, we had our first intern work with us (Thank you, Arielle Leonard)
We held our first Summer Festival Dinner & Preview for the Shakespeare in the Park.
The Apprentice Company took to the stage as the pre-show entertainment.
We launched our Educational Outreach program with a tour of Romeo & Juliet for local 9th grade students studying the play
We toured local elementary schools with an original adaptation, Scrooge's Long Night.
All
this was made possible with the help of you, our supporters! But
there is more coming! Watch 2013 as we continue our growing the
summer festival, and build on our success with the Educational Outreach
Program.

Scrooge Tours Local Schools
Our original adaptation of the classic Dickens tale , adapted and
directed by Ezra Weisz, toured local schools this month reaching more
than 4,500 students in less than three weeks. As our first program
to reach the elementary schools, the SCSF Educational Outreach program
is focused on providing dynamic, curricular based , and afforadble
assemblies to our local schools. Scrooge's Long Night was just the beginning of K-6 commitment to keeping the classics.

In addition to touring local schools, Scrooge's Long Night presented a
special inter-generational performance for seniors and their
grandchildren. Cookies and hot chocolate were served after the
performance of this timeless tale.
Our local TV station, SCVTV recorded the performance at the Senior
Center for later broadcast during the holiday season. You can
still check out the performance at: Scrooge on SCVTV.
From all of us at the Shakespeare Festival, we thank you for a wonderful year.
Wishing you a year filled with joy, health and prosperity. Happy New Year!
