A Once-in-a-Lifetime Event in Santa Clarita

Wartime Romance is a true story. Writer Marilyn Hackett discovered letters her father had written her mother during the four years he served as a pilot in World War II. They were intensely personal and moving, and she decided to bring the story to life in a way she knows intimately. She's worked in the performing arts her entire career. Read more...

Parent Comments

"The IEP workshop was great. Not only did it give me a more technical understanding of the process and my rights, but also, I felt that the mothers getting together to share their experiences was really enriching emotionally. I just wish we had more time!" -Tamara

4th Annual Fools Paradise

The weather could not have been more perfect and our golfers shared this is one of their favorite tournaments.  We couldn't be more pleased too -  we set a fundraising record!

We extend our sincere thanks to all who supported the tournament: from sponsors to auction, wine, and beer tasting donors, and of course our golfers. Many congratulations to this year's winners:
1st Place: John Vance, Ryan Flynn, Matt Burbach & Brian Hill
2nd Place: Casey Kirkman, Mike Bjorkman, John Geraci, Peter Wilder
3rd Place: John Lutz, Steve Bernard, Greg Collins & Mike Mischione Jr.
This year we added a ladies tournament and we are proud to announce this year's winning team:
Kathy Crone, Crystal Rasmussen, Flossy Van Der Horck

Every year the Board of Directors honors a community partner and an individual who set the bar of support for Single Mothers Outreach. We are proud to announce our 2012 honorees:
Community Partner: Real Life Church
Ed Redd Service Award: Kat Kombrinck

We shared a story of how we are helping one of our families. Here is the video that tells her story and how Single Mothers Outreach is helping her and other families like her. We welcome your feedback!

Life Without Him - A Single Parent Story

The following story was written by SMO parent Jill Kola-Ines.

“Honey, can you…”, oh yeah, you’re gone. No matter. I can figure this out myself. Let’s see, I plug this in there and this part in here and load this in there. Okay, now what? No, I don’t want to burn the cd, just download it. How can I save it? Oh bother. Okay, call Fisher Price. Oh, I want to RIP the cd! Who knew?!

There’s so much to learn.
