A local athlete is achieving international fame and we’re getting ready for high school football; televised games begin Friday.

Finally:
Suzanne Harper, the KHTS-sponsored country singer who won the local level of the Texaco Country Showdown, went on to win the state finals at Knotts Berry Farm against nine other country bands.
