The annual Fun in the Sun Chili Cook-off event brought the masses together as 28 competing teams from the Sheriff’s Department and local community members competed for the title of chili champion. Entertainment included live music, a car show, a kids zone, Department displays ranging from horses to helicopters, and a wide assortment of vendors. The event took place at the Pitchess Detention Center in Castaic on October 5th, 2013. Proceeds went to the Special Olympics of Southern California.
