The city of Santa Clarita hosted a reception Tuesday evening for a new art installation at the Old Town Newhall Library, featuring contemporary native American artwork by local residents Nadiya Littlewarrior, Ken Lubas, Peggy Fontenot and Michael Chas Williams. Dennis Garcia honored attendees with a blessing.

Update: Fontenot’s “Indian Chiefs” piece took first place at the Autry in November.
