Chilly temperatures couldn’t keep artsy kids, parents or grandparents away from Saturday’s Holiday Craft Fair at the Placerita Canyon Nature Center.

The fair continues Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine (it’s indoors). Friendly volunteers from the Placerita Canyon Nature Center Associates will be on hand to help you create and decorate your own wreaths, centerpieces, candles and other decorations from a large assortment of fresh-cut greenery, pine cones and other beautiful natural treasures.

It’s the organization’s only fundraiser of the year, and all proceeds are used for animal care, education programs and special projects throughout the Placerita Canyon Natural Area.

The Nature Center is located 19152 Placerita Canyon Road, about a mile and a half east of the 14 Freeway.
