Clouds of powder sent Castaic Lake’s lower lagoon into a colored fog as more than 1,500 people took to the pavement to run for a worthy cause.
The Santa Clarita Chamber of Commerce hosted the Santa Colorita 5k run on Saturday.
Five brightly colored corn starches were splashed at runners during each of the race’s five kilometers.
Event promoters say it is the “Happiest 5k on the Planet.”
