The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department named Capt. Roosevelt Johnson as the newest leader for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

Einstein Academy is looking for permission from city planners to build a new school in Valencia; a hearing is scheduled Tuesday.

City leaders will discuss a red light camera contract renewal later this month.

CalArts grad Chris Buck (1978), along with his co-director Jennifer Lee, took home an Oscar for Best Animated Feature for the Disney hit “Frozen” on Sunday night.

The Santa Clarita Christian Cardinals and Trinity Classical Academy Knights have both made it to their respective division championship games in boys basketball.
