Capping a dominant run through the playoffs, the No. 1-ranked Trinity Knights have made it to their second consecutive CIF-SS Division 6 Championship game. The Knights will face the No. 2 Desert Chapel Eagles this Saturday, March 8, at 11:15 a.m. at Godinez High School in Santa Ana. Coming off a 17-8 season (4-1 in the Heritage League), the Trinity Knights reeled off 4 straight playoff wins with an average victory margin of 35 points to make it to the championship game. Desert Chapel comes into the championship game ranked No. 2 in CIF-SS Division 6 with a 23-4 record (14-0 in the Majestic League). The Eagles knocked off Joshua Springs 86-73 in the semi-finals to make the championship game. ©2013 SCVTV |
