Sulphur Springs Union School District officials have agreed to settle a lawsuit alleging a California Voting Rights Act violation.

The Hart School District Administrative Center has moved into a new 31,000 square foot office building located on Centre Pointe Parkway.

A Valencia man who was formerly a deputy with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department at the Palmdale Station, took an 8 year, 8 month plea deal in state prison from the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office on Thursday.

2003 SCV Woman of the Year and longtime Santa Clarita community volunteer Linda Pedersen has been named the winner of the Carmen Sarro Community Service Award.

This weekend is going to feel more like July than March.  Unseasonably warm weather is expected to continue with highs topping out at 90 degrees in santa Clarita Sunday.
