Four Santa Clarita schools were recognized as California Distinguished Schools on Wednesday. The Castaic Lake Water Agency is facing yet another lawsuit over their purchase of the Valencia Water Company. The action is heating up on the City’s billboard deal with Metro as a referendum deadline looms. Santa Clarita dog owners are invited to bring their canine companions to a low-cost vaccination, microchip and licensing clinic Saturday morning at Canine Country Dog Park. The Santa Clarita Valley Child and Family Center is calling on you to lift your forks for the 2014 Taste of the Town happening Sunday in Valencia. The 4-0 Wildcats hosted the 3-1 Valencia Vikings in this week’s Helm Vision Group High School Softball Game of the Week. Long time Santa Clarita community volunteer and U.S. Air Force veteran Jim Stone has died.
