The Santa Clarita Valley Sanitation District board approved a rate hike Monday to fund a $205 million chloride-compliance plan.

Castaic Lake Water Agency officials have launched a Lawn Replacement Program to help homeowners conserve water.

Four people who suffered minor injuries when the Ninja roller coaster derailed at Six Flags Magic Mountain Monday night were released from the hospital Tuesday morning.

Board members learned Monday that Sandra Silva, who underwent a three-month transition to take the helm of the SCV Boys and Girls Club, has resigned.

  1. The Lawn replacement program is BS! You have to have perfect lawn and want to replace it with desert like plants. if you lawn is not perfect, sorry. if you want to replace it with fake lawn, sorry. They force you to replace your existing lawn with low water using plants. Wouldn’t fake lawn be better. No water > low water.
