The 2014 Santa Clarita High School Football Preview Show, presented by Nissan of Valencia, will premier Friday night at 9 pm on SCVTV, Santa Clarita’s only local television channel.

The one-hour show will feature the eight Santa Clarita high school teams in the city and Foothill League with interviews of players, coaches and analysis.

“Year after year this preview show has given us a clear indication of what the teams will be like in the fall and who the top players to watch will be,” said Dave Caldwell, Sports Director at SCVTV and the show’s host/producer. “This is great for every fan of not only their favorite team, but what the other teams will bring as well.”

Last year’s football preview was nominated for a Los Angeles-Area Emmy under the category of Sports Special.

In addition to the Foothill League teams (Canyon, Golden Valley, Hart, Saugus, Valencia and West Ranch), the show will also give insights on the Santa Clarita Christian Cardinals and the Trinity Classical Academy Knights.

Both Trinity and Hart won their respective CIF division championships last year, with Valencia as the runner-up and Saugus as a semi-finalist.

The show will repeat on Saturday at 8 am and 6 pm, and Sunday at 9 am and 6 pm.
