Video by Megan Perez [Press Release] “We are honored to host this important celebration and to help families and friends remember and celebrate their loved ones,” said Curtis Woods II, General Manager, Eternal Valley Memorial Park Mortuary. “In addition, we are extremely grateful for the generous support and leadership of our committee members, the Santa Clarita Valley Latino Chamber of Commerce, and the De Mi Sueños Cultural Arts Program.” Dia De Los Muertos is a celebration practiced in Mexico, in other parts of Latin America and in parts of the United States as a way of bringing families and friends together to remember ancestors and celebrate life and culture. The Dia De Los Muertos Santa Clarita Valley featured entertainment and activities throughout the day culminating in a service co-celebrated by Father Norm from St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church in Santa Clarita and Capitana Maria E. Soria. The celebration included performances by Ballet Folklorico, Danza Azteca, and a Mariachi band. The Dia De Los Muertos Santa Clarita Valley event is sponsored by the Santa Clarita Valley Latino Chamber of Commerce, the De Mi Sueños Cultural Arts Program, and Eternal Valley. Wrong day it’s tomorrow
Nope.
No today is “día de los santos and tomorrow is día de los muertos
Día de los santos is to remember the dead children so technically yes. but because those that died were innocent. it is not considered day of the dead it is called all saints day.
I think they are referring to the event that was today that was called “dia de Los muertos” @ eternal valley. It was hosted by the Latino Chamber of scv
