  1. BREAK THE LAW…. GET A DRIVERS LIC. …..yeah… that makes sense… NOT!

  2. Mike..so every illegal is a criminal? ?

  3. We will round you all up and put you on trains to our fema camps to be exterminated !!!

  4. Does that include; Mandatory insurance as well?? Registration of car, smog?

  5. does it really matter? they are here, they drive, license or not; this is really a non issue it didnt stop them from getting behind the wheel to begin with. most wont get one anyway, everytime we amnesty illegals in no one shows. all afraid of being rounded up. i guess if you get in an accident you have a “chance” of getting the right information from them.

  7. Just because you’re pro America does not make you racist or ignorant! Come here legally, enjoy 28/30% of your hard earned income go to supporting welfare recipients, ssi recipients, people on medi cal and other government programs who’ve never worked a day in their life and contributed to our economy like the rest of us! My family came here as immigrants, didn’t speak the language, but we learned ENGLISH, went to college, got jobs and learned how to obtain the American dream, never asked for a dime, did it on our own…..legally! It can be done!

  8. Cheree, quit arguing with this ignorant bunch. They are haters of Americans.

    • Actually, I really wasn’t trying to argue with anyone! I just don’t understand how people who are here illegally don’t see or care that they’re breaking the law! Just because a person sneaks into our country without being caught, doesn’t mean it’s right! You can’t expect to want the same rights as Americans while you’re breaking our laws. People who originally emigrated here died for those freedoms, and continue to do so every day serving our country. I think those rights & freedoms should be respected, not taken advantage of.

    • But, Cheree, these haters think whites and I assume other races, think we deserve “respect” just because we are white? WTF is up with that? Never heard of that before, I expect to be treated as well as I treat any other person, no better no worse.

  9. Mike Bryant Mike Bryant says:

There are millions of stories that illegals could give for being here. But none of them negate their criminal status. Until Obama stepped in and waived his magic wand. Too bad that our laws no longer matter to the president.

    • Mike Bryant Mike Bryant says:

No need. I wish you the best. I believe in the law. Nothing wrong or bad about that. This is a great country and other folks from other countries come here to improve their lives. They want they want they want. If they come here legally that’s good. If they come here illegally they are criminals. Period. If you can’t understand that then I feel sorry for you.

  10. correct me if im wrong but i see this all the time. —> americans [ Citizens ] always asking for money . on the other hand ” undocumented people asking for JOBS !

    • OK your kidding me right? THAT’S RACIST. I have seen u say everyone else on here is but then u go & post something like this? That’s ignorant. I have seen all shapes, sizes & COLORS of people asking for money on the streets. I have seen all people of shapes, sizes & COLORS looking for work. WE ALL BLEED THE SAME. Just because some people r on here people hateful does not mean u have to be. PROVE WHAT THEY ARE SAYING IS WRONG OK. Maybe try to understand some people are afraid of what they don’t know & instead of being hateful show them different. Smh.

Undocumented is not a legal term. Illegal immigrant or criminal is the correct legal term.

  12. Steve Brown Steve Brown says:

My gardener has a drivers license, he is Japanese. Our housekeeper has a license, she is an American. The first thing I told our contractor when he started our remodel was if anyone showed up that didn’t speak English the whole job stops. I don’t hire illegals. Maintaining my countries language and traditions is worth more than a few bucks saved hiring illegals. I’m more discusted with businesses hiring illegals than I am with illegals looking for work.

  13. Ellen Duggan Ellen Duggan says:

They are in the system now…the government now knows where they live.Easier to deport, part of the big plan..wait and see……

  14. Adrii Riivas Adrii Riivas says:

And I can’t belive how racist people are!

  15. Ok. I’ll take a crack at this post. Haha. I’m a lawyer. So, I get hated by everyone. No prob. First of all, California passes hundreds of laws every year – and nothing changes. Secondly, Let me relate a very poignant moment in my career. I was sitting in court during the traffic calendar. Judge Nash (San Fernando arraignment department) was handling the calendar. At one point (somewhere after the 30th driving without a license case was called), Judge Nash said, “I know a lot of you just cannot qualify for a driver’s license based on your immigration status. I understand that. Please just don’t kill anyone on the road.” He could have gotten in huge trouble for saying that. But, he was just being honest. The relationship between Mexico and the U.S. is unique. Our land used to be that of Mexico. Someone decided to sell it and, suddenly, Mexican land was grabbed from beneath the feet of Mexicans and they became “illegal” without moving an inch. Fast forward – NAFTA has annihilated Mexico’s economy and traditional industries and farming. So, just like the off-spin of the Viet Nam War – people come here. So, who makes the laws and who declares who “illegal”? It’s the rich a–holes who further gain from societal division. There are cultural problems between white and Latino culture. I’m tired of it. I taught in San Fernando for several years and I never experienced so much racism in my life. But, eventually, we kind of forgot who was who and it didn’t make a difference. It turned out that those were some of the best people and most memorable times I’ve ever had. We’re all way more in the same proverbial boat than we think. I don’t see skin color or the accent on someone’s lips. I see the smile in their eyes and the community responsibility to aid each other through our ordeals. So, while some of my friends – and they are my friends – might take issue with my position, I think this move is a positive one that has been a long time coming.

  16. SCV TV, I can’t believe all the hate towards American citizens I see here.

  17. This is one of many things that I do not like about this state and I am glad to be leaving it behind

  18. Insurance? Good luck with that.

  19. Its not fair illegal immigrants come to work and have a better life!! Now I feel bad about this becuz they want a better life for their children I just disagree with this…smh

    • So it means you dont want your parents to be able to drive in cali?

    • Noo I disagree when people just talk bad stuff about immigrants that is what im trying to say it’s about time that Santa Clarita does something like this cuz back then if you don’t have a license they’ll to you too jail or get arrested… they’re are racist over there u must of have taken it in a bad way….

    • Yeah actually this new law is apply in many states and all over CA, before they would take your car away for a whole month and make you pay about 1600. Its great that undocumented people can now drive with out fear of loosing it all

    • True… but I mean there’s always gonna be people disagreeing with this u know n its not right cuz there the same as latinos with or without papers…smh

Issac Barrera….you just posted the stupidest thing I’ll read all day…lol

  22. If I snuck across the border into Canada, should I expect that they’ll let me get a Canadian driver’s license? No…and I’m fairly certain most other countries would agree with them.

  23. If I snuck across the border into Canada, should I expect that they’ll let me get a Canadian driver’s license? No…and I’m fairly certain most other countries would agree with them.

  24. David Devlin David Devlin says:

    This isn’t about “hate”….illegal is illegal…PERIOD!

  25. Brent Simon Brent Simon says:

Another reason why our state sucks. So now licensed and undocumented people can crash into you. And get away without paying anything. Because all they have to do is find another name. It’s happened to me twice.

    • Ignorance at its finest… To get a license you still have to provide legal foreign documentation. You prob can’t just walk in and make up a name and walk out with my new license. If anything it’s before this happened that people could crash and not pay cause they didn’t have to give you a real name.

    • Brent Simon Brent Simon says:

You can it happens all the time. I work in the same field with undocumented immigrants and they have told me how it’s done. So maybe do some checking before you cast dispersions. So you might be the one who is ignorant for not checking facts. That’s right I said facts. Oh by the way go down to the Social Security bldg. and see how easy it is to get a SSN.

    • Kara Eckert Kara Eckert says:

Thank you Brent!!!! Seriously, people think it’s so hard to obtain a new identity! It’s not !

    • Brent u really need help . Eres un pendejo.

    • Brent Simon Brent Simon says:

Douglas coming from you I’ll take that as a compliment. Like they say ignorance is bliss. Just try to investigate. Im not just speaking out of my ass. I’ve seen it with my own eyes. God bless.

  26. Great news for my Mexican people (mi raza)

  27. Kurt Buck Kurt Buck says:

They are illegal, not just undocumented.

  28. Gil Castro Gil Castro says:

Ridiculous. I hope the insurance agency next door gets just as
    Much business… I doubt it…

  29. If you’re here illegally & are UNdocumented, should you have the privileges afforded American citizens? I don’t think so. First, obtain a work visa and come here legally, just as it’s required in every other country. Then again, a license puts that person into the fingerprint system, so they can be located by authorities if need be. No matter their ethnicity or where they come from, they need to follow our laws, become documented and pay taxes like the rest of us. I think everyone deserves the opportunity to live a good life, but starting it off illegally in our great country is not the way to do it…

    • Lucy Romero Lucy Romero says:

You really think it’s easy huh?

    • It worked that way for all the Colonists but I guess that’s the American motto -“I’ve got mine, you can’t have yours”

    • Cheree, it is implacable how far your ignorance . Not ALL Americans contribute to the economy by paying taxes. Check all the jails and prisons, those are citizens milking MY taxes to live for free and continue to be criminals. Americans are no angels. At least this ppl come to work and do the labor all “you Americans” are not willing to do. Many times they are not even paid minimum wage. And thanks to them you pay $2 a pound of tomatoes. So, please don’t open your mouth unless you are an economist or a person who has brains

    • Oh, no… not at all Lucy Romero! I know it’s a long and difficult process. I have many friends back home in California and here in Montana who have gone through it. Cubans, Mexicans, Canadians, and an African. Our church has built housing & Christian camps in Tecate & La Rumarosa in Mexico for over 30 years, so I’ve seen poverty first hand. I truly do want people to come here for a new & better life! But our laws must be followed.

    • Why are you all being so hostile? I wasn’t saying anything mean or rude! I grew up in the San Fernando Valley in the melting pot of So. California… I’m even an honorary Martinez & proud of it!!! Don’t let the color of my skin fool you…I like everybody! :) I’m just voicing my opinion folks, not forcing it on you at all. That definitely IS my right as an American! And hey, I don’t want tomatoes at $2/lb. if a worker didn’t get fair wages for that work! That’s my point: if you come to the U.S. legally, you reap all the benefits the rest of us do! I’ve always thought the welfare system would work better if people reported in each weekday morning, dropping their kids at a state-provided daycare, and then bussed out to local businesses, farms, etc. to learn a trade! At the end of each week of work, they would be paid. Work hard, learn a skill, be successful! That’s my dream for every American! :)

    • Cheree Davis Bailey, know ur screwed up system before u talk. There is nothing options for us , please educated ur self before taking.

    • Listen, I was polite and now I’ve had enough. I’m well educated, Douglas Castillo. I know the system. Try learning to write well, and you’ll go far. And no one chooses life for you; you make it yourself! That’s how this country was founded…hard work, dedication and honest people. Enter this country illegally, face the consequences. Live the American way (that’s the point right? To BECOME an American?!) or stay home…your choice. Geez! Angry, bitter people! I’m not the enemy! :/

    • Cheree, don’t bother, they are haters.

    • Mike Bryant Mike Bryant says:

      Cheree, you are right.

Becoming a citizen or getting a green card is not easy. Not easy in any country. We have bad citizens and they pay for their criminal acts, see our prisons.

People who come here illegally are criminals. Plus, not all illegals are good people! Illegals commit crimes all the time!

Giving amnesty to illegals is absolutely terrible! This is a nation of laws. We are a great nation and illegals are too lazy to use the system to become a citizen. Illegals should go home and put their efforts into making their country a better place to live!

  30. Now they also need insurance, this is nothing more than revenue generation for the state and insurance companies

  31. Illegals are notorious for changing residence… Do you think they are going to feel a responsibility to file for a new address with the DMV?

  32. Good, now they can get tickets like the rest of us!

  33. Amy Estrada Amy Estrada says:

Hmm, are they required to take Drivers Ed as well before they get their license?

  34. Ron Harter Ron Harter says:

Do you think they’ll have to separate lines

  35. Complain all you want but it’s happening and who’s stopping it NO ONE hahaha arriba mi raza!!!!!

  36. Doesn’t supreme me. Thought the lines were bad enough

  37. This is wonderful new and way over due.

  38. Newhall is full of illegals, the traffic was terrible around the DMV today. Wrong on every level.

  39. David Devlin David Devlin says:

Immigration should hang out at the DMV and round em up and ship em home

  40. Now all of you won’t have to call and complain to your Gardner ,house cleaner , or pool cleaner when they skipped your house because their car got towed since they didn’t have a drivers license !!!

  41. People working on citizenship pay taxes. People paid in cash, under the table, do not.
Sonya know. I might be ignant and all. Lol it’s ok. I don’t mind.

  42. the written test should be in english then since thats what our signs are…

  43. Maria Smith Maria Smith says:

Well I’m glad I’m don’t need to go to DMV until all the idiots are done !!!

  44. Morris Rivas Morris Rivas says:

They do pay taxes they just don’t file a return and collect that money stays with the state

  45. Ryan Mcneill Ryan Mcneill says:

It’s just a way to track immigrants. Now the government has their names, numbers, and addresses.

  46. Friday January 2,2015

  47. Emily Ball Emily Ball says:

John A, they do pay taxes just like you and I do.

  48. Citizenship is not obtained via a drivers license. Licensing = documentation. Documentation = Taxing.

  49. Where’s ICE when you need them?

  50. They should become legal citizens and pay taxes like the rest of us. Then they wouldn’t need to worry about not being able to get a drivers license.

    • Omar Vargas Omar Vargas says:

They do pay taxes. When my mom was working on her citizenship, she worked and paid taxes. She just couldn’t file a return since she didn’t have a social security card. But hey, who cares if people think you’re ignorant, am I right?

    • John, get informed before you comment, they do pay taxes using a number issued by the IRS, believe me, Facebook is not the right place to get educated

    • Scott Levy Scott Levy says:

It could take a decade to become a “legal citizen” the process is beyond belief.

    • Mike Bryant Mike Bryant says:

A great many illegals work under the table and don’t pay taxes. Their employers don’t report that.

It’s not one ‘comment’ fits all that relates to illegals except that they are here illegally.

They are, were, criminals until now thanks to Obama.

  51. They drive regardless The good thing is that they will now be able to have car insurance
