The Sheriff’s Department has released preliminary crime rates for 2014 showing a 6 percent decline in reported crime in the SCV. Emergency responders were called to La Mesa Junior High today after reports of a student getting their arm stuck in a desk. For the second consecutive year the number of students expelled and suspended from schools across california declined. Caltrans has established new rules for setting yellow-light timers in intersections with red-light cameras.
