One hundred volunteers are needed January 29, 2015 to help get an accurate count of homeless people living in the area.  Data collected is a critical component for funding, according to representatives with the local homeless shelter, Bridge to Home.

Film editor and Santa Clarita resident Joel Cox,   is among the long list of filmmakers who will be looking for an Oscar statuette at the 87th Academy Awards on Sunday, Feb. 22.

The United Sates Postal Service is proposing a rate hike on some of it’s services.

In sports, SCVTV’s game of the week will take us to Saugus High School where the Centurions will be hosting the Hart Indians in girls and boys basketball.

A Valencia woman is glad to have the family cat safely back in her arms tonight.  Hunter, a 5-year-old feline, was rescued from the thin branches of a nearly 45-foot-tall tree in a quiet neighborhood on Via Adorna Monday afternoon.

Television viewers can catch the SCV NewsBreak on SCVTV at the top of every hour from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., repeating the following morning at 6 a.m. and 8 a.m.
