Patients and Guests had the opportunity to tour the Cardiac Rehabilitation Center at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital as it celebrated its  grand opening Thursday night.

Quadruple Bypass survivor, Phillip Banks says its the best thing to ever happen to him.

“They literally brought me back to life,” said Banks. “The rehab was fantastic, that got me from, you know, just sitting and got me up and got me moving.”

As one of the only canters in the immediate area that offers all three phases of Cardiac Rehab services,  it is revolutionizing how patients are treated in the Santa Clarita Valley.

“We were able to really individualize an exercise prescription for each patient,” said Jean Marie Stewart, Senior Director of Cardiac Services at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital.
