Inside the Life of Miss Rodeo California

Carollann Scott was crowned Miss Rodeo California back in October but her reign is not even halfway over.

“I feel like everything in my life has lead me to this moment,” Scott says.

Scott grew up around rodeo and horses, she went through the ranks of junior rodeo to high school rodeo and eventually went on to compete in college rodeo.

“I went to college and finished my education then came home and decided I wanted to run for Miss Rodeo California,” said Scott.

Since becoming rodeo royalty she has wrestled with alligators in Florida, heard the crowd sing back to her during the national anthem in Colorado and become part of the rodeo queen sisterhood across the country.

In December she plans to compete in the Miss Rodeo America competition.

“Your competing against 34, or 30-something really motivated, and girls who are going places,” Scott said. “So I do have high hopes for Miss Rodeo America but I also do know that, let the right girl win, and if it’s not me I know she will do a good job.”
