  13. I’ve watched them being built. I donated to the project through my niece that donated time and collected donations. What a happy city celebration of such dedicated veterans. Glad they’re becoming homeowners and members of our community. Welcome!??????

  15. Doubt me and my hubby qualify! It’s just him and me but if it’s better then a room at his ‘Rents or a over priced tiny apartment we are tryin to get…. Eh! The family families should get it! Pretty sure he doesn’t get enuff from the VA for one anyways!

  16. And even if it was given. I could get on board with that sooner than I could for all the freebie the government gives out!!!

  17. Pat Salinas says:

  18. Isnt that next to bowman high school lol

  19. Awesome. Proud to live in a community that gives veterans a home that they can afford.

  20. you need to clarify something. these homes are not “given” to them, they still have to pay a mortgage!. granted its a low mortgage, but its not free housing!

  21. God bless you for your service, that is more than enough to earn a home and much much more,,???????????

Curious to know how they were picked as well

  24. Our future neighborhood, so glad to be a part of all of this and there to celebrate! ❤️ let me also let everyone know that these homes are not given to anyone, they are made affordable to the veteran families and we put in a lot of time, patience and sweat into achieving this dream. The first phase got keys after waiting three years for the homes to be built and will now be home owners (paying mortgage) You do not get picked, you are either a qualified veteran and family or you are not. If you are a veteran and need information you can contact habitat for humanity.

  25. Linda Quin says:

    How did they get picked?

  26. Ary Gomez says:

    Where is this neighborhood?
