An excessive heat warning has been issued for Los Angeles County for the weekend.

Santa Clarita officials teamed up with the Los Angeles County Public Health Department to crack down on unpermitted vendors around the city on Thursday afternoon.

The Boys and Girls Club of Santa Clarita was gifted with a check for $50,000 from Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich to support the organization’s two full club houses.

A memorial has been scheduled for Madeline Rossiter, the teenage victim of a fatal off-roading accident near Rowher Flats.
