[VIDEO] Canyon Country Witch is Gone But Not Forgotten

Canyon Country is not commonly known for haunted houses or spooky Halloween legends but one neighborhood is feeling the loss of a woman who came to be known as the “Witch of Canyon Country”.

Gloria Miller, of Lakecrest Avenue, had been dressing up as a witch for the past 30 years but passed away in July. Now a sign is outside of the house to commemorate her legend and to let the neighborhood know why there will be no decorations or candy this year.

  1. Wow Kathy Cook…I had no idea the impact that your mom made on so many. You were certainly blessed to have her for so long. It’s great to see that you have carried on the tradition for years now.🎃

So sorry to hear this. I remember the garage closing at the beginning of October and the anticipation of seeing what was created on Halloween night. I’ve told stories to my kids about her and what was created there, it was great!! My condolences to the entire Miller family. RIP witch.

We lived around the corner from Gloria and enjoyed their haunted house for many years. Such nice people and they spread so much neighborhood spirit with their halloween house.

  5. Whatever happened to the “ghost” that haunted Plum Canyon before the road and houses went in? Is she living with someone? :)

  7. Mrs. Miller is deeply missed. I had the pleasure going to their haunted houses in my youth and then again with my son. Every year everyone would happily be saying, The Millers have the Halloween decorations up or, The Millers have their Christmas decorations up. Then we would have to run down the street to see. The impact of the decorations and love for making things special for everyone to enjoy, made such a huge impact throughout our neighborhood. Mrs Miller will never be forgotten❤️

  8. Thank you for for putting this up Tina

  9. I have been going to that house since I was ten
