Jan. 5, 2016: Flooding; Big Rig Collision; more

Storms swept through the Santa Clarita Valley causing some flooding and mudslides in areas that were scorched by the Calgrove Fire last June.

Emergency officials responded to a traffic collision Tuesday, when a vehicle became lodged underneath a big rig on Valencia Boulevard at the southbound I-5.

The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station has issued tips for staying safe on the road during times of flooding.

A new art exhibit by local artist, Betty Morgan, will be on display at the Canyon Country Jo Anne Darcy Library.
