Jan. 26: Fatal Crash, City Council, Bake a Book Contest

A 74-year-old man was killed Tuesday morning after being struck by a car in Granary Square shopping center in Valencia.
The Santa Clarita City Council is poised to dole out over 100,000 dollars in grant awards to various local arts and community service agencies. The Council will also be looking at renaming the cross valley connector to honor the 10,000 service men and women who live locally.
Locals got to share their hunger for reading at the first-ever bake a book contest.
In sports, Saugus and Canyon basketball are going head to head at Saugus High tonight.
