LA County Air Show Features Performers and ‘Fat Albert’

The Los Angeles County Air Show came to Lancaster over the weekend bringing the United States Navy Blue Angels, Fat Albert and aerobatic performers to hundreds of spectators.

The event from March 19 to 20 at Fox Airfield also featured jet demonstrations, warbirds, vintage aircrafts and interactive displays for all ages to enjoy.

The U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, returned to the valley along with world-class aerobatics, parachute demonstrations, wing-walking, pyrotechnics and interactive displays, said a press release from the air show.

Throughout the flight line, spectators explored static aircraft displays, interacted with pilots and crew members and experience attractions and educational exhibits designed to promote science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), the release said.

  1. I saw it! It was an unexpected surprise on my way to see the poppies that were not to be found at the California Poppy Reserve. We did find a big patch of poppies at Munz Rd at Lake Elizabeth Rd though.
