April 4: Minimum Wage Increase, Newhall Incident Memorial

Gov. Brown has signed legislation to raise the statewide minimum wage from $10 per hour to $15.

More than 100 cyclists rode throughout the Santa Clarita Valley this past weekend to honor California Highway Patrol officers killed in the “Newhall Incident.”

Dozens came to Fiesta Mexicana at the Newhall Community Center this past Sunday.

Don’t forget to take extra steps to conserve water this week. Scheduled repairs to the water outlet tower at Castaic Lake and at the Foothill Feeder will temporarily make the water from Castaic Lake unavailable.
