CHP Newhall is asking for the communities help in investigating a fatal collision that left one person dead on the five freeway in Castaic. A fundraising page has been set up for the four firefighter families who lost their homes in the Sand Fire. Carousel Ranch is known for providing equestrian therapy but now the Ranch is also providing its members with valuable work experience to help them get jobs. Ventura County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to support the the creation of a National Memorial and Monument to honor the victims of the St Francis dam disaster. Television viewers can catch the SCV NewsBreak on SCVTV at the top of every hour from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., repeating the following morning at 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. SCVTV runs on Time Warner Cable Channel 20 and AT&T U-Verse Channel 99, and streaming on SCVTV.com.
