The USA Swimming Open Water National Championships were hosted by the local Canyons Aquatic Club at Lower Castaic in 2013 and ’14, and may be back in ’17. It earned rave reviews from swimmers and spectators alike as an ideal venue for Open Water Swimming. It would definitely be on the short list as the Olympic Open Water venue.
