The Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita is bringing a new way to do homework for their junior high age kids: the “Homework Cafe” is a relaxing, collaborative environment that the staff hopes will help junior high students transition into their pre-teen years well.

Due to all the physical, emotional, and educational changes that junior high age kids undergo, the Boys & Girls Club staff wanted to provide an environment that focuses on the needs of kids their age.

In the Homework Cafe, kids can socialize, collaborate with each other on homework, listen to music–with headphones–while completing work, and even have snacks.
