DFYIT COMMUNITY SERVICE AND FUN NIGHT! DFYIT Community Service Opportunity on October 8th at Central Park. Be a fan in the stands for Special Olympics Softball Competition. Also, on October 14th at Mountasia, there is a Junior High fun night!! Come see Mrs. Sandoval in room 402 for a flyer with information on how to sign up for both activities.

GOLD METAL STUDENTS OF THE WEEK Team Gold Rush congratulates our Gold Medal Students of the week for the Week of October 3, 2016. Anh Bui- Anh always take the initiative when she needs help with her work. She has beautiful penmanship and adds great responses in class discussion. Christian Hannoun- Christian always comes to class with a refreshing, positive, can-do attitude. He has a great work ethic and isn’t afraid to help others.

HONOR SOCIETY FIELD TRIP Honor Society Students who are attending the REAGAN LIBRARY trip on 10/24 MUST attend our mandatory meeting on Friday 10/7 in the MPR at Lunch in order to get some very important information. You will not be able to attend the trip if you DO NOT attend this meeting at lunch. The list of students attending is posted next to the ASB window.

PROJECT LINUS Hey Sierra Vista, are you in need of some community service hours, or do you want to help others? This Saturday, at the Valencia Town Center, students can participate in “Project Linus” to help make blankets for traumatized and critically ill children. Please bring two or more yards of fleece or blanket-like material to the mall between 10am and 9pm to help. CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES Today in clubs and activities the Fandom club will be meeting in room 1206, the faze up club will be meeting in room 624 and the DIY club will be meeting in room 61. All of these clubs will be meeting at lunch. Additionally the Video Game club will be meeting in room 101 after school.

POPCORNOPOLIS FUNDRAISER In today´s show we have Sophia with some information about Popcornopolis!

MORE INFO ON PROJECT LINUS Project Linus is a program that donates handmade blankets to traumatized and critically ill children. Project Linus donates these blankets to several local non-profits like foster agencies, Domestic Violence, Henry Mayo, Michael Hoefflin Foundation, Mending Kids International, military families and many more. Project Linus Santa Clarita Chapter has a semi-annual “Make-a-Blanket Workshop” at Westfield Valencia Town Center, in front of Sears, from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM on October 8th, 2016. Have students bring their own pieces of fleece. Instructions are given at the workshop and they can make as many blankets as they like.
