Oct. 11, 2016: Brush Fire in Lake Hughes Burns 70 Acres; Old Orchard Elementary Debuts Renovations; More

A brush fire in the Lake Hughes area grew to 70 acres Tuesday afternoon before firefighters were able to stop the blaze.

The local Firehouse Subs hosted a fundraiser to raise money on behalf of a fallen firefighter’s family.

Old Orchard Elementary School debuted the renovations that replaced aging portable buildings with two new permanent buildings in a ribbon cutting ceremony on October 10.

The Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce is looking to move back into City Hall.

Los Angeles voters can begin checking their mailboxes for their Vote by Mail Ballots, which will begin landing in mailboxes this week.
