Schools | Gay Men’s Chorus of LA Brings Message of Tolerance, Acceptance to Saugus HS
|
Saugus High School hosted the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles, or GMCLA, for their Alive Music Project, which marked the first time GMCLA came out to a school in the Santa Clarita Valley. The Alive Music Project, or AMP, hopes to inspire greater acceptance and tolerance of LGBTQ youths through their music. Members of GMCLA also shared personal stories of their journey, hoping to inspire students. GMCLA’s AMP was brought to Saugus through a collaborative effort between the high school’s Gay-Straight Alliance Club and Boston Scientific, who sponsored the event. (c) 2016 SCVTV
