Thousands stepped out to Six Flags Magic Mountain on Saturday for the 25th annual Walk to Stop Diabetes.

The event gave attendees the rare opportunity to walk through the amusement park before it opened.

It was the first time in the walk’s history that it was held inside Six Flags.

Part of Stop Diabetes movement, every dollar raised went to supporting the American Diabetes Association mission of preventing and curing diabetes.

The ADA also hopes to use the money to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.

Event organizers estimated that they raised over $200,000 dollars to go towards research and programs that help those affected by the disease.
