GO Jazz Big Band Journeys Through the History of the Big Band in Fall Concert

Famous classics throughout the history of the Big Band were performed at the West Ranch High School Theater on November 20 as audiences were treated to a skillful performance by the GO Jazz Big Band.

Golden era giants like Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, and Count Basie, and later masters of the form like Buddy Rich, Maynard Ferguson, and Gordon Goodwin were some of the Big Band icons covered by the GO Jazz Big Band. Making sense of it all is UCLA Lecturer in Ethnomusicology, composer, and Big Band fanatic, emcee Charley Harrison, curating a voyage through this American art form and the musicians who forged it.
