One person has been hospitalized after a garage fire broke out in Saugus Tuesday evening.

Fire officials reported the initial call at 5:32 p.m. on the 23000 block of Cerca Drive. The fire was reported out by 5:59 p.m., and no other homes were burned, according to officials.

One person was transported to the hospital, but the extent of the patient’s injuries was not known. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
