One person has been hospitalized after a garage fire broke out in Saugus Monday evening. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the nominees for the 89th Academy Awards and amongst the nominees were two films from CalArts alumni. The city of Santa Clarita is seeking art entries for a new exhibit that will be featured in City Hall’s First Floor Gallery. Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital has added several new features to its website including health risk assessments, a digital health library, podcasts and an electronic version of the It’s Your Health magazine. A cold weather alert has been issued to for the Santa Clarita Valley starting tomorrow and not ending till at least Sunday, January 29.
