VAL-O-GRAMS – Do you want to serenade your special someone? Embarrass your best friend? Show someone you care? Buy a Val-O-Gram!! These singing telegrams only cost $5 and will help the choir pay for its spring festival! Find a student wearing a special heart necklace at brunch and lunch to buy your Val-O-Gram!

BOX TOPS – We’re collectiing Box Tops again this year.  Containers are in the Team Leaders room.  Box Tops will be collected at the end of each month.  Students bringing in Box Tops with their name on the back of the Tops will be entered in a monthly drawing for ice cream passes so be sure to listen to the announcements to see if you won.

VIDEO GAME CLUB – Attention Video Gamers: Our next Video Game Club meeting is this Thursday after school in room 101. New members are always welcome, so come check it out! If you like what you see, ask Mrs. Flaherty for a parent/guardian permission slip to be in the club. We have an Xbox 360 with games like Sonic the Ultimate Genesis Collection, Angry Birds Star Wars, Lego Indiana Jones, Kung Fu Panda, NBA Jam, Wall-E, NCAA Football, Viva Pinata, and Madagascar Escape from Africa. We also have Game Informer magazines and popular cheat code books to explore.  Hope to see you there.

BEST OF LA DANCE! – Our Best of LA dance is Friday, February 10th, from 2:30-4:30 at the MPR. Ticket sales start  Monday starting at $5, then $8 on Tuesday and Wednesday, and finally $10 on Thursday and Friday. We also are selling “In-N-Out” hamburgers and a soda meal for $5. Make sure to pre-order it at the ASB window when you buy your ticket. Party pack members do not need to buy a ticket; however, if you want to pre-order the “In-N-Out” meal, you need to order it at the ASB window. Be sure to bring your ID card with you to buy a ticket, or you will be sent to the back of the line. Students cannot purchase a ticket if they’re on the LOP list. For safety reasons, students must stay at the dance the whole time, and cannot leave early. Hope to see you on our red carpet!

TEAM MUSTANGS – Team Mustangs would like to nominate 8th grader Nick Chutuk for Student of the Month. Nick Chutuk is an eighth grader who works very hard at school and is earning top grades.  Nick is also a good friend who is ready to lend a hand when needed and accepts and appreciates those around him.  Congratulations, Nick!

DFYIT is having a Dodge Ball Tournament this weekend. We have 8 members signed up to play, and need 2 more players.  Any SV student can sign up. Please see Mrs. Sandoval in room 402 to sign up.
