THE BOOK FAIR IS COMING- The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to our library next week on March 20th! The theme is “It’s S’more Fun with Books.” We will have lots of cool books for 7th and 8th graders along with fun school supplies and gifts. This is the SV Library’s big fundraiser of the year, so please support us. Also, we really need some parent volunteers to help us run the fair. Ask your parent to sign up by visiting the library’s website or emailing Mrs. Fulleman. See you at the Fair!
Attention all current 7th graders! This week in your elective classes you should be getting information about choosing your electives for next year. If you haven’t already seen it, be sure to check out the electives video on Sierra Vista Life for more information about your options. Deadlines to turn in your applications for specific year-long electives are quickly approaching, and the final day to choose your top 3 choices aren’t too far behind. Please see your counselor or Mr. Zeilenga for more details.
Congratulations to the Trailblazer Students of the Week, Nicole Trudeau and Victor Garcia. Nicole always walks into class with a smile on her face. She is kind, hardworking and an amazing student. Victor is quiet but diligent and always ready to help others. He is an terrific student who makes school his top priority. We love having both of them on our team,
Krispy Kreme donuts are coming to Sierra Vista on March 23rd at Open House! You can pre-order your dozen glazed donuts all this week in the ASB office for only $10 per dozen, and then just pick it up at open house. Order forms are available in the ASB office.
BROWN BAG TOMORROW – Many of you SV Plainsman have expressed an interest in working with Animals or becoming a veterinarian. This Friday at Lunch, Dr. Barnes from Sweetwater Veterinary clinic, in Agua Dulce will be here with her Special guest to talk about her career working with both big and small animals. If you have ever considered a career working with animals, this is your chance to ask questions and get information about what your future career and training would look like and hear about what the positives and fun parts are in each day.
Please come join us in the Library at Lunch on Friday. Yes, you can bring your lunch, it’s first come, first seated basis. I bet this career speaker is going to have lots of answers and interesting stories about getting to work with animals.
