DEPUTIES OF THE WEEK- Team Rangers would like to congratulate our Deputies of the Week,
Ed Peterson, Leora Ziegler, Haylie Palomares, Dylan Shumard & Elias Barrera!!! These students are always respectful to others, and are well liked by their peers and teachers. They all put forth 100% effort in all that they do, and they all exemplify the Rangers’ motto of Courage, Integrity & Perseverance! It is an honor to have Ed, Leora, Haylie, Dylan & Elias on Team Rangers!

BOOKMARK CONTEST WINNERS- Congratulations to our winners of the 19th Annual 7th Grade Bookmark Contest. 1st place for her depiction of the book Lord of the Flies is Jamie Lee. 2nd place for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone is Harry Embuido. 3rd place for the book 1984 is Ramona Bruckner. 4th place for The Battle of the Labyrinth is Leiah Abellera. 5th place for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is Hailey Shaffer. The five honorable mentions are Fionna Inostroza, Samantha Stroh, Jada Asis, Chris Guerra, and Arwen O’Dell. And congratulations to all 25 finalists. Good job, everyone!

BROWN BAG PRESENTATION- The Library is having a Brown Bag Presentation this week at lunch on Thursday, March 30th. We will have a professional musician, John Bergstrom, perform music from and about the Civil War. Mr. Bergstrom sings and plays guitar at the Gene Autry Museum in Los Angeles. You may eat your lunch in the library and enjoy the free snacks that we will provide. Ask your U.S. History teacher or guitar teacher for a free ticket. Ticket holders will be admitted first; additional students will be seated if space allows. SRC testing will be offered after school on this day until 2:30 p.m., due to the special event at lunch.

GOLDEN VALLEY ASB- Attention 8th graders that will be attending Golden Valley next year: ASB applications are available for pick up in room 1002. The applications need to be returned to the ASB window by Thursday, March 30th. Please understand that completing the application doesn’t mean that you have ASB as a course in 9th grade since the applications need to be processed. The list of accepted candidates will be posted on the Golden Valley website on Monday, April 17th.

CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES- Today in clubs and activities, the photography club is meeting in room 301, at lunch. Also, Mrs. Mowry’s reading and writing workshop will be meeting from 2:15-3:15.
