Camulos is a Plein Air Painter’s Paradise
Uploaded 04/28/2017 While the rest of the valley dealt with dusty, desiccating winds, about 40 plein air painters hit the Santa Clarita Valley’s tree-shrouded sweet spot Friday to participate in the annual Artists Day event at Rancho Camulos Museum. In the possession of just two families since 1839, Rancho Camulos was the home of the Del Valles, who once owned the entire western half of the Santa Clarita Valley. Visitors can step back in time Sunday afternoons when guided tours are offered. The rancho is located 10 miles west of Valencia on scenic Highway 126. For more information visit RanchoCamulos.org.
