Volunteers in the “Read with Me” program through the SCV Education Foundation were thanked for all that they do during a reception held at the Newhall Public Library on Tuesday.

The volunteers have one-on-one time with elementary school students who need improvement on their literacy and comprehension skills.

Collectively, the volunteers amassed to close to 2,000 hours during the school year.
