College of the Canyons hosted the Next Generation Science Standard Training for local teachers.

The goal of the workshops is to help teachers develop strategies that use the Next Generation Science Standards.

Participating COC faculty include Teresa Ciardi, chair of the college’s Earth Space and Environmental Sciences department, and Amy Foote, director of the college’s Mathematics Engineering Science Achievement (MESA) program.
