As Santa Clarita broils into triple-digits, officials from the Los Angeles County Fire Department suspect hot vehicle undercarriages, may have caused a series of small fires along Highway 14  on Thursday.

Austen Timothy Calams, a 35 year old man pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Friday to charges of utilizing online social media platforms to receive and distribute child pornography.

The California Department of Transportation will paint new temporary lanes with lower speed limits on a section of Interstate 5 in Santa Clarita Valley as a $171 million repaving project gets underway Monday night.

The Canyon Theatre Guild’s 2017 “Goldie Awards” ceremony, honoring the shows and talents featured during the 2016-2017 season, is set for Saturday, July 8 at the Guild on Main Street in Old Town Newhall.
